My sister recently took a weekend clowning workshop which prompted me to go down the rabbit hole of watching famous women clowns. To my delight, I stumbled across the work of Nola Rae whose early work combines "mime, dance, clowning, puppetry and controlled lunacy."
I particularly love this sketch of a ballerina, which allows the audience to appreciate her simultaneous embodiment and affectionate parody of ballet as an art form.
